How long the pest control lasts are dependent on a variety of factors including the kind of property you have and the severity of the pest issue. General pest control services which focus on insects such as spiders, moths, roaches, and more should last up to six months.
However, to maintain the impact of your pest control treatment, ongoing prevention is extremely important. One treatment alone will not eradicate the issue and therefore, we provide the necessary ongoing prevention procedures needed for long-term results.
At Tom’s Pest Control, all products we use are Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) approved. This is because our service being safe for all environments and all customers is very important to us. Therefore, wherever possible, we utilise non-chemical pest control supplies wherever we can.
The chemicals we use at Tom’s Pest Control are safe and environmentally friendly. We only utilise pest control products that meet Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) standards and in accordance with all product labels, as we want to ensure a healthy environment for all our customers. By doing this, we make sure our procedure is completely safe for your family and any pets.
Our pest control treatment is quick with either same or next day service. For some treatments, we will ask you to vacate the property for a short time, which usually lasts for 1-2 hours. However, this is dependent on the type of internal treatment being done and we will let you know beforehand.
At Tom’s Pest Control, we drive results. We want you to be satisfied with our service and therefore, if you notice that the pest issues at your property have not stopped within two weeks of the treatment, we’ll revisit your property and do the treatment again to meet your expectations.
Pest control treatments are not permanent. They will wear off with time. This means that wasps, bees, and bugs may come back. To prevent this from happening, it’s highly recommended that you get pest control treatments in regular time frames. In some instances, it may even be recommended that the treatment be repeated bi-monthly.
With general cases, there’s no need to move your furniture as we can work around your belongings. However, it is dependent on the treatment and therefore, if we find that something needs to be moved when conducting our inspection, we will let you know. Please note that for ant treatments please try to move as much as possible away from the walls, and for localised infestations such as German cockroaches you should empty and clean out all cupboards before our arrival, and please leave them empty.

The chemicals we use at Tom’s Pest Control are designed to withstand weather conditions. Therefore, most of our treatments are not affected by rain after a few hours. However, for any unexpected situations such as flooding or heavy rain, it’s best to reschedule the treatment for another day.
